Saturday, April 14: Air Transport Tea at OSSM (enter at NE 10th and Stiles, between Lincoln Blvd and I-235) from 2-4pm – we will discuss various steampunk methods of air transport and build mini hot air balloons to race. Come see if your balloon will win!
Saturday May 5: Get Your Derby On at Remington Park, Clubhouse Level North, 4-6 pm. There is a Kentucky Derby Hat competition and Tea, with $2,000 in prizes. We’re going in steampunk with awesome hats. Join us!
Saturday May 12: Guthrie Photo-Shoot at the Apothecary Gardens with tea in the Victorian Tea Room across the street, 1-5 pm. We’ll pose prettily in the Gardens, tour the Apothecary Museum, and film short videos. Come in full on steampunk for a very lovely afternoon.
June 15-17: SoonerCon Room Tea at the Downtown Sheraton Hotel – the room number and time to be announced as we get closer to the event. We’ll have games and prizes and tea!
Saturday June 30: OctopodiCon Tea and Games at the Edmond Public Library 1-3 pm. We’ll have board games and card games, both Victorian and Steampunk’d to play, with instructions for more games available. Come play with us!
Sunday July 15: OctopodiCon Tea: Forming an Airship at the Midwest City Library 2-4 pm. We’ll discuss the history of steampunk and how to join or form an airship or other steampunk group. There will be representatives of some local airships and groups there, so come join us!
Saturday August 25: OctopodiCon Tea: Steaming Up the Future at the new Northwest Library 2-4 pm. We’ll talk about some of our Visiting Professors, and how steampunk directed their careers along with ways and means to do research for your own backstories and histories and how to bring that believably into today and tomorrow. Come travel through time with us!
September 21-23: OctopodiCon Room Tea at FenCon. The room number and time will be announced as we get closer to the event (and maybe at the event itself as we won’t know what room we’ll be assigned until then). We’ll have games, prizes, tea, and more!
October 5-7: OctopodiCon 2012! at the Meridian Convention Center from 2:00
