CEO:

The responsibility stops here. If no one else is there to get it done and it needs doing, I’m the one who does it. Handles Distinguished Visiting Professors applications and contracts. Other duties as appropriate. Shares DVP database with Bursar, Dean of Programming, Contracts.

Bursar:

Safety Officer:

Marcia Bull

The Safety Officer is on premises to assist anyone at OctopodiCon with safety issues and concerns. She will be roaming, but can be summoned quickly by contacting any Sky Marshall, the people at Registration,or the people in the Art Gallery.

 

 

Project Manager:
Mike Moe

 

 

Keeps us on track and notifies us when deadlines approach. Other duties as appropriate. Shares timelines and deadlines with everybody.

 

 

Registrar:

Handles registration, demographics, waivers, and on-site information. Shares databases with Bursar, CEO, Project Manager, Dean of Badges. Sends list of badge information to Dean of Badges 24 hours after Pre-Registration closes. Other duties as appropriate.

 

Dean of Asian Affairs:

Lynn Yates – Retired

 

Handles Anime and BJD programming, guests, sponsors. Other duties as appropriate. Shares databases with CEO, Project Manager, Contracts, Bursar, Dean of Programming, Dean of Properties.

 

 

Dean of Professors Lounge:

Jas Brothers

 

Handles the set up, administration, and break down of the beverage and snack services for Visiting Professors, Volunteers, and ConCom (Blues, Orange, and Green Badges). Shares databases with CEO, Bursar, Project Manager, Dean of Properties.

 

Dean of Audio-Visual Technology:  Matt Jones, Toxic Dragon Lighting

Maintains and operates all audio-visual equipment on site during OctopodiCon, sets up and breaks down, stores equipment during non-OctopodiCon times (may use equipment for other venues and events). Handles slide show presentations, band and musical performances, light show and sound for the dance, makes sure the panel rooms aren’t overwhelmed by the sound in the Spectacularium. Maintains a reasonable and low volume during panel hours. Shares database for OctopodiCon with CEO, Project Manager, Dean of Properties.

Dean of Badges: Lacy Slatton

Formats and prints the Badges. All the Badges. Assists in creating the Pre-registration Packets, the Vendor Packets, the Art Packets, the Volunteer Packets, the Visiting Professor Packets. Badges must be prepared and ready to go 2 weeks before OctopodiCon so corrections can be made. Shares databases with CEO, Registrar, Bursar, Dean of Publications, Project Manager, Dean of Programming

 

Dean of Security: Sky Marshalls

Handles weapons inspection, badge checkers, on site security. Shares databases with CEO, Project Manager. Other duties as appropriate.

 

Dean of Mysterium: Dan Henderson

Solicits game masters to run games. Seeks funding, freebies, sponsors for the games. Teaches or finds teachers for card and board games. Prepares schedule of games and game hours. Is present for set-up and break-down. Determines how many minions are needed, what duties they will perform, and what hours they are needed. Manages the Mysterium. Sends schedule of gaming to Dean of Publications 3 weeks before OctopodiCon. Shares databases with CEO, Project Manager, Contracts, Dean of Programming, Dean of Minions, Dean of Publications.

Librarian – Gina Henderson

Tracks and maintains our printed materials:  Student Handbooks, Course Catalogs, Handouts, Brochures, and Chapbooks, as well as our resource materials and links. Acts as back-up to the Dean of Publications. Shares information with CEO, Project Manager, Dean of Publications, Dean of Properties, Dean of Yearbook Production, Dean of Laboratorium, Dean of Junior Sprockets, and Dean of Competitions.
