About Enrollment (Registration)

Registering for OctopodiCon (October 5, 6, and 7, 2012) is simple, whether you have a PayPal account or prefer to use a card or mail a check.

We now have our PayPal Shopping cart up and running. We will shortly have a Google Check-out for those who don’t like PayPal.

Enrollments to OctopodiCon may also be purchased by sending a check to:

OctopodiCon, LLC
5241 NW 47th
Warr Acres, OK 73122

There’s always the option to give your enrollment to one of our ConCom directly, at a convention, at a Tea Party, at an Open Planning meeting, or anywhere else you happen to see one of us.

Also, if you’d like to donate to pay for up-front operating costs, there is a donation button at the bottom of this page.

The benefits of pre-registering (other than saving money) is that you may also pre-register for classes that require supply fees (coming soon). Pre-registration for classes with supply fees ends July 25th, 2012 so we have time to acquire all the essential supplies. People who pre-register for these classes will receive their supplies when they pick up their registration packets. Class details are listed in the Course Catalog. The Course Catalog is coming soon. If you pre-register now, you may return at any time before July 25, 2012 to add classes to your pre-registration.

At-the-door 3 day registrations are $50.00 ($25.00 for minors 6-15) and no classes requiring supply fees will be available. At-the-door single day registrations are $25.00 ($12.00 for minors 6-15) and no classes requiring supply fees will be available.

Don’t worry, there will be plenty of classes, panels, and activities that don’t come with supplies!

Supply Fees

We have 10 classes  accompanied by supply fees (makeshops) and a great many more with no additional fees. In order to successfully complete your Freshman level at OctopodiCon and earn your Freshman Pin, you need to earn 10 credit hours, 4 with supply fees and 6 without. You may take more than one OctopodiCon to achieve your Freshman Level, and we are working with other conventions so you may be able to take tentacle classes there to use towards earning your Freshman Pin. Students who complete their Freshman Level will receive a Freshman Pin and a Rising Sophomore Certificate which will allow them to take Sophomore Level Classes.

(The following makeshops are confirmed. More are coming soon. If you pre-register, you may come back at any time before July 25, 2012 and add classes to your pre-registration)

Nota Bene

Anyone who pre-registers will receive a badge number that will allow them to come back at any time between now and July 25, 2012 to register for workshops needing supplies.  These workshops are 2 hours long and are staggered so it is potentially possible for some dedicated and eager soul to take all 10 classes in the space of one OctopodiCon.  We don’t recommend this because that’s a lot of classroom time all at once, and you only need 2 of these classes plus any 6 panels or lectures or demos or audited workshops to earn your Freshman Pin.
