The next Tea is scheduled for December in Guthrie, OK during the Territorial Christmas celebrations. It will be Saturday, December 15th at 5:00 pm. We’ll walk through Historic Guthrie. All the shops will be open late for this, so we can browse and shop. Many of the shop windows will have “Living Postcards” of people engaging in Victorian activities, there will be a Medicine Show, and more. We’ll end with a warm tea in the Victorian Tea Room.
Historic Guthrie is located on West Oklahoma in Guthrie – You can either take the Highway 33 exit westbound from I-35, and bear to the left to stay on East Oklahoma Avenue – it becomes West Oklahoma Divisions Street OR take the Highway 77/Division Street exit from I-35 and continue north on Division until you reach Oklahoma Avenue (this is the route I took) – there is a lot of parking on Division – Oklahoma Avenue is where the Walk is held, between North 2nd Street and Oak, Go down Oak to Harrison, then up Harrison to North 2nd and back . Dress warm – it will be December and even in Oklahoma, it can get cold, especially if there’s wind – and in Oklahoma there’s almost always wind. The Victorian Tea Room is located across from the Apothecary Museum and Garden at the corner of Oklahoma and 2nd Street (Oklahoma Avenue is the dividing line for 2nd Street to be North or South, so the Apothecary Garden in on North 2nd Street and the Tea Room is on South 2nd Street, right across from each other).
As we receive the schedule from the library, we’ll finalize the rest of the Teas and post the schedule.
